CHINA, Hsin Dynasty, Wang Mang Interregnum, "Chuang pu ch'i pai", square shoulder and square base spade, (c.A.D. 9-22), four characters spade money, value 700, length 48mm, (8.5 grams), (Coole 10040 Vol.7 p.197, TFP 478-9, Pl.54, Hartill 9.26). Heavy green hoard patina and encrustation, otherwise good fine and very rare.
