ADELAIDE EXHIBITION, 1881, award medal in silver (30mm), inscribed on reverse 'J.Curtis / Portmanteus'. Extremely fine.
These medals were overstruck on English gothic florins. There are two varieties of the obverse and two of the reverse. Note '1881' serifs or plain, bow of wreath thick or thin.
