THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH MEDAL, c1873, in silvered bronze (38mm) by Stokes & Martin, obverse, the Duke of Edinburgh Medal / bust of Prince Alfred, reverse, Love / Purity / & Fidelity in a triangle superimposed on a double star design (C.T/3). This piece cannot be earlier than 1873 when Martin combined with Stokes. Extremely fine.
