The Landed by Moonlight, framed print by Robert Taylor, limited edition, print 226/750, frame size 850mm x 1005mm, signed by Capt Murray Anderson DFC, Lt Col Francis Cammaerts DSO, ACM Sir Lewis Hodges KCB, CBE, DSO*, DFC*, Wgcdr Len Ratcliff DSO, DFC and Gp Capt Hugh Verity DSO*, DFC and Nancy Wake; two accompanying framed items, both frame size 370mm x 295mm, one features a Certificate of Authenticity and the other is a photograph of Nancy Wake ’The White Mouse’, the Allies’ most decorated female servicewomen of WWII, signing one of the prints. The print depicts a Lysander of 161 Sqn making a clandestine landing by moonlight on a lonely and isolated field in enemy occupied France. Newly arrived S.O.E. agents are hurriedly spirited into the night by members of the French Resistance. Only 50 prints were signed by Nancy Wake, numbers 202-250 and 69. Nancy Wake, an S.O.E. agent was awarded, George Medal, 1939-45 Star; France & Germany Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; French Legion of Honour 5th Class (Knight) upgraded to 4th Class (Officer) in 1988; French Croix de Guerre with Star and 2 Palms; U.S.A. Freedom Medal with Bronze Palm and French Medaille de la Resistance and in 1988 she was made a Companion of the Order of Australia.
