Trio: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. O.N.1468 J.Wanders A.B. on first medal, 1468 Jack Wanders A.B. R.A.N. on last two medals. All medals impressed. Good very fine.

Together with I.D.disc; Returned from Active Service badge (RAN) impressed number 2732 on reverse, one lug missing; RSL badge (small two figure type) impressed number V68062 on reverse. Able Seaman Jack Wanders, born Pitfield, Vic, resident of Williamstown and Rigger (Dock), Enl.18Jan1912, posted at Williamstown Naval Depot Jan-Jul1912 then postings to HMAS Encounter, HMA Depot London, HMS Victory, HMAS Australia, and was a member of the crew that delivered the Battlecruiser to Australia in July 1913; then took part in the operation in German New Guinea Sept 1914, HMAS Cerberus, HMAS Warrego, HMAS Swan, HMAS Parramatta, HMAS Swan (2nd posting); Disch.1920. Awarded chevrons 1914, 15, 16, 17, 18. Together with original vellum service record.
