China. Shanghai Power Company, first mortgage debenture 5«% dollar series, for one thousand Chinese silver dollars, 1st May 1934, orange and black on white, ornate border, printed by the American Banknote Company. Pinholes, slight creases, otherwise good very fine.
Incorporated in Delaware in 1929 to provide electricity to Shanghai the Company’s properties were seized by the new Chinese Government in 1950.
