Victoria. A.U.Alcock Electric Light and Motive Power Company Limited, third issue, five hundred shares of Å“1 each, 27th November 1891, handwritten notation in ink across front. With tape repairs to tears on back top and bottom edges, otherwise fine.
Alfred Upton Alcock, born Hawthorn, Victoria, 1865, inventor and electrical engineer. Educated at Geelong Church of England Grammar School from 1879, he then worked in his father’s billiards factory.
