Private George Pettersson, Enl.17Dec1914, Emb.22Dec1914, served on Gallipoli, 08Aug1915 to HS Delta with Influenza, 12Aug1915 to 1AGH with Pyrexia, 21Aug1915 to Convalescent Camp at Helouan in Egypt, RTA 04Sep1915, Disch.22Mar1916. Together with King's Silver War Badge, impressed number on reverse, A29546, pin missing from brooch fitting; Returned from Active Service badge WWI, impressed number on reverse 149251, engraved name, 'W.H.Curtis', one lug missing; 1915 Australian silver florin, 'One Florin - Two Shillings' removed from reverse and replaced by engraved details, 'Gallipoli Peninsula 25th April', obverse design removed and replaced by engraved details of three stars above a crescent, above the crescent is the year 1915 and inside the crescent is the detail, 'To Mar from Loyal/Egypt', with a brooch fitting, missing pin; 'Katoomba Concert Party' badge in silver (31mm), reverse marked, 'Austral Engv. Co. / Perth', with brooch fitting, missing pin.
