L. Censorinus with P. Crepusius and C.Limetanus, (82 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.75 grams), obv. Venus diademed and veiled bust to right, L. CENSORIN behind, rev. Venus in biga galloping to right, XXXV above, C.LIMET[A] below, [P.] CREPVS[I] in exergue, (S.284 [ú65 VF], Cr.360/1b, Syd.736a, B.Marcia 27). Very fine/nearly very fine and rare.
Ex Raoul Phillips Collection and Romanorvm August 17, 2001, previously from the L.Riggs Auction, Cincinati USA, November 29, 1958 (lot 91). A total of 56 obverse dies has been calculated by Crawford for this issuer.
