Parthia, Kingdom of, Orodes II, (c.57-38 B.C.) silver drachm, (3.91 grams), Ecbatana mint, obv. medium size bust wearing a diadem to left with short beard, star before, crescent over star behind, sea horse on torque, rev. archer seated right on throne, seven line inscription, monogram ATP, anchor behind, (cf.S.7445, Sellwood 48.6, Shore 258); Sellwood 48.8, Shore 260) (illustrated); another AE tetrachalkoi, (3.842 grams), Ecbatana mint, obv. short and narrow bearded bust to left, Nike crowning him behind bust, rev. eagle standing to right, seven line inscription, monogram TAI before, (S.7449, Sellwood 42.3, BMC 5 [Pl.XIV, 3], Shore -) (illustrated); another AE chalkoi, (0.996 grams), Ecbatana mint, obv. short and narrow bearded bust to left, star before and crescent behind bust, rev. horse head to right, seven line inscription, (cf.S.7458, Sellwood 47.40, BMC 157 [Pl.XVII, 3], Shore 521).
