Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochus II, (261-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.63 grams), Series II Group C, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued 261-256 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus I to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right **BASILEWS, to left **ANTIOCOU*, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6886, SC 587.1c, Newell ESM 180). High relief with minor surface roughness with some hoard patination remaining, needs conservation, has a broad flan, otherwise very fine or better and very scarce.
