Sicily, Gela, (c.430-425 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.960 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven left by male charioteer holding reins, wreath above, rev. forepart of man headed bull to right with long beard, goose below off flan, above traces of C**ELAS*, (S.796 [ú500], Jenkins 398, obv. 82, rev. 167 [notes 17 examples known of these dies], SNG Ash 1737 [same dies]). Off centred obverse, worn reverse die as usual, otherwise fine and a scarce die combination.
