Celtic Coinage, struck in Britain, Uninscribed Coinage, North Thames (Bury), Diadem box type, (c.65-50 B.C.), silver unit, (1.28 grams), obv. Celticized head to left, with square boxed diadem, rev. Celticized horse to left, (S.52A, Van A. 80-1var.). Good very fine and an unpublished variant, the type extremely rare.
Ex. Find at Braintree, Essex, October 1994. $$ Some forty specimens of this type are primary type are known, and only one with 'box' to left of horse. This isan Iceni type in Britain type and is regarded as not an imported issue as Van Arsdell heading suggests for this series.
