Free Pardon, 3 June 1834, to Mark Riddle Thompkins, a Master Mariner convicted of perjury in the Criminal Court of the colony of New South Wales, hand-signed and wax seal affixed at Government House, Sydney by Richard Bourke, Captain General Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Territory of New South Wales and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral of the same, also signed by the Colonial Secretary, the Governor, Alexander McLeay; an historic document bearing the signature of two significant individuals in Australia's colonial history. The wax seal is in pristine condition and the document is very fine. (3)
