Group of Four: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. First two medals unnamed as is common with early Air Force issues, 63592 J.A.McFarlane. on last two medals. Last two medals impressed. Uncirculated.

Together with Returned from Active Service badge (KC) number 62903 impressed on reverse; Letter from Department of Air dated 10 Feb 1949 advising of medal entitlement, the ASM is not mentioned because in 1949 it had not been instituted; delivery boxes for medals. Leading Aircraftman (LAC) John Adams McFarlane, enlisted into RAAF at Sydney 06Apr1942, served with No 5 Airfield Construction Squadron, discharged 15Jan1946. 5 ACS served at such places as Goodenough Island, D'Entrecasteaux Islands, Papua, Morotai, Tindal (NT), New Guinea, Noemfoor Island,and Labuan Island.
