Group of Seven: Distinguished Flying Cross (GVIR); War Medal 1939-45 with MID emblem; Australia Service Medal 1939-45; Korea Medal 1950-53; United Nations Korea Medal; General Service Medal 1918-62, - one clasp - Malaya; United States Air Medal. 1953 on reverse lower arm of first medal, 406408 E G Ramsay on second and third medals, 05975. E.G.Ramsay on fourth, fifth and sixth medals, last medal unnamed. First medal engraved, the rest impressed. Swing mounted in two groups, namely the first three medals and the last four medals, good very fine. (7)

Note that the MID emblem has been attached to the War Medal as indication of a King's Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air not a Mention-in-despatches. Citation: Courage and devotion to duty with 77 Squadron, Korea. "Flight Lieutenant Ramsay was a member of No.77 Interceptor Fighter Squadron in Korea from 10 February 1952 until 4 August 1952 and in this period flew 180 Meteor sorties against the enemy. These sorties included 126 strike attacks against defended enemy troop and supply centres, lines of communications, ammunition dumps and armoured vehicles. In all his operations, Flight Lieutenant Ramsay pressed home his attackes in an endeavour to inflict the maximum destruction to the enemy. On 4th August 1952, Flight Lieutenant Ramsay led the squadron on a daring rocket attack on a vital supply area and despite heavy and accurate anti-aircraft fire, successfully directed the attack and the target was completely destroyed. During the last three months of his operational tour, Flight Lieutenant Ramsay held the appointment of Flight Commander and in this capacity led the squadron on many successful raids. By his own personal display of courage, ability and initiative Flight Lieutenant Ramsay has brought the highest credit upon himself and the Royal Australian Air Force." U.S.Air Medal.
