Group of Ten: The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE)(first type) (Military); Military Cross (GRI); Air Force Cross (GVR); Queen's South Africa Medal - four clasps - Cape Colony; Orange Free State; Transvaal; South Africa 1902; 1914-15 Star - clasp - 5th Aug-22 Nov 1914 ('Mons'); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19 with M.I.D.; General Service Medal 1918-30 - clasp - Kurdistan; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45. 6982 Pte J.Butler Rl.Irish Fus on fourth and fifth medals, Captain A.J.Butler R.F.C. on sixth and seventh medals, S/L A.J.Butler R.A.F. on eighth medal. OBE, MC and AFC unnamed, fourth to eighth medals impressed, last two medals unnamed. Very fine.

Together with some photocopies of medal index card records, three pages of Lists of Officers of the Royal Air Force, newspaper clipping dated January 3 1918 listing J.Butler for Investiture at Buckingham Palace to receive the Military Cross.
