Earl of Essex, Military Reward, 1642, silver, unsigned, probably by Thomas Rawlins, half-length cuirassed bust almost facing, holding sword vertically and wearing falling lace collar and sash around waist, reverse two houses of Parliament in session with King and Speaker, 27x35mm.
