Russia, and Europe, flatware, 19th century - 20th century, soup ladles (2), one pre 1903, the other post 1903, this latter with court jeweller's mark; small dessert/cake scoop pre 1903, engraved pattern on scoop, hollow handle; pair of serving spoons, dated 1879, twisted pattern handles, base of each engraved ornately in older-style Russian inscription, loosely translated to mean 'Without salt and bread there is no meal', this is around a central crowned shield; basting spoon, medium sized, double wire style handle, wrapped at top into 'EM' monogram, engraved on base of spoon, '24 I 1899'; ice tongs (5) one with ornate engraved floral design, spike at end, spoon shaped tong; one with engraved building at each side, 1892, grid-grip tong; one with ornate engraved floral design, twisted pattern arms, grid-grip tong, 1888; one plain design with gold-plated talon grip, 1886; another, matching design but slightly smaller, talons in silver, 1894; butter knives, set of four, ornately designed handle, engraved pattern on one side of blade; tea spoons, set of six, shaped handle, clam shell pattern at end, marked 'Jen 13', engraved with 'MS' monogram; desert forks, set of six, ornate patterned handle, arms hallmark, by Gunther 13'.
