Palestine, Judaea, King Agrippa II under Domitian, (A.D. 56 [50] - 95), copper semis?, AE 20, (5.79 grams), Provincial coinage acknowledging Roman Rule, probably struck at Caesarea Paneas, issued year 29 = A.D. 89-90, obv. laureate head to right of Domitian, around **DOM*I[TIANOC KAIC]AP, starting upper right, rev. Nike standing to right foot on helmet, writing on shield resting on left knee, inscription around ETOY K**Q* BACI **AGRIPPA*, T and Y upside down, (cf.S.5600, RPC 2292, AJC II 48a [p.257, Pl.16], H.627 [-], Meshorer 137 variant [p.150, Pl.XVII], BMC 55, SNG ANS 314 variant, Maltiel-Gerstenfeld 195 [This Coin]). Fine/nearly very fine and very rare.
