Palestine, Judaea, King Agrippa II under Domitian, (A.D. 56 [50] - 95), copper semis?, AE 19, (6.40 grams), Provincial coinage acknowledging Roman Rule, probably struck at Caesarea Paneas, issued year 27 = A.D. 87-8, obv. laureate head to right of Domitian, around **DOM*ITIANOC KAICAP, starting upper right, rev. Nike standing to right foot on helmet, writing on shield resting on left knee, inscription around ETO KZ BA [**AGRIPP]A*, (S.5590, RPC 2286, AJC II 42 [p.256, Pl.15], H.622 [93], Meshorer 135 [p.150, Pl.XVII], BMC 52, SNG ANS 312, Maltiel-Gerstenfeld 188 [This Coin]). Nearly very fine and very rare.

Ex. Maltiel-Gerstenfeld Collection No.188, p.173 and illustrated in his "260 years of Ancient Jewish Coins", and from Numismatic Fine Arts auction Sale XXVIII, April 23, 1992, (lot 138 illustrated and sold after the sale).
