Palestine, Judaea, King Agrippa II under Vespasian, (A.D. 56 [50] - 95), copper as?, AE 28, (14.12 grams), Provincial coinage acknowledging Roman Rule, probably struck at Caesarea Paneas, issued year 15 = A.D. 75-6, obv. laureate head to right of Vespasian, around AYT[OK PA OYEC**P*ACI KAI[CAPI CEBACTW, starting upper right, rev. Tyche standing to left on base holding ears of corn and cornucopiae, across ETIE BA/ **[A]GRI PP[A]*, (S.5582, RPC 2252, AJC II 12 [p.252, Pl.12], H.593 [-], Meshorer 102 variant [p.143, Pl.XIV], BMC -, Maltiel-Gerstenfeld 153 [this coin illustrated). Nearly fine/fine and very rare.

Ex Maltiel-Gerstenfeld Collection (No.153) and illustrated in his "260 years of Ancient Jewish Coins", and from Numismatic Fine Arts auction Sale XXVIII, April 23, 1992, (lot 114 illustrated [estimated $1200US] and sold after the sale). RPC note only three known examples with one with a reverse EI rather than IE for the date.
