Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.964 grams), Lampsacus mint, issued c.310-301 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, K I to left, to right **ALEXANDRO[U]*, and N O monogram under throne, (cf.S.6730, Price 1398, BMC 1398, M.823, SNG Cop. 990). Toned, good very fine.
