Australian collector plates, the following four plates are all 265mm and made from imported pure white porcelain with two bands of 22ct gold bordering the illustrated areas, all are numbered 6678 and were issued for the following events, To Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, 1982, issued by the Government of New South Wales and made by Benz Ceramics, Australia, To Commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Sydney Opera House, 1983, issued by Macquarie Heritage, made by Benz Hardegg, Australia, Halley's Comet Australia, 1985-86, issued by Macquarie Heritage, made by Benz Hardegg, Australia; To Commemorate Australia's Bicentenary, 1788-1988, issued by Macquarie Heritage, made by Benz Hardegg, Australia; a separate fifth plate was issued To Mark the Return of Halley's Comet, 1985-86 (253mm) profusely decorated with decscriptive text for each scene on reverse, made in England by Wedgwood.
