Tiberius, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 14-37, obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around traces of [TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS], rev. PONTIF MAXIM Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.567, RIC 30, BMC 48). Very porous flan, otherwise very good.
Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
