Peloponnesus, Argolis, Argos, (228-146 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.29 grams), obv. forepart of wolf to left, rev. A in shallow incuse square, below eagle to right, I E, P W, NO S, arranged in field, (cf.S.2797, BMC 114-5). Sharply struck, good very fine and scarce.
A Specimen from the same dies was sold in our Sale 47 (lot 2008) and another specimen is illustrated in the Archaol. Anzeiger 1967, from the collection of the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg in Germany (No.132).
