Pte Charles Woods embarked on HMAT Hororata from Melbourne on 19 October 1914 RTA 29 July 1915, recorded next-of-kin as Arthur Woods of Chiltern, Victoria. Pte Arthur Woods embarked on HMAT Ulysses from Melbourne on 22 December 1914 and recorded his next-of-kin as Mrs Mary Woods of Chiltern, Victoria. Arthur was WIA on 25/30 April 1915 and then killed in action at Gallipoli on 14 July 1915. He is buried at Shrapnel Valley Cemetery about 400 yards south-east of Anzac Cove, Gallipoli.
