Sicily, Syracuse, reign of Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 20, (7.868 grams), obv. bust of Artemis to right, quiver at shoulder behind, around **SWTEIRA*. rev. above and below winged thunderbolt **AGAQOKLEO[S] / BASILEO[S]*, (S.1200, BMC 422, Calciati 142, McClean 2858, SNG ANS 708ff.); another AE 23 (5.318 grams), obv. head of young male (Herakles) to right, rev. lion prowling to right, club above, javelin in exergue, dotted border, (S.1201, BMC 391, Calciati 151, SNG ANS 740). Dark green patina, nearly very fine and scarce.
