Sicily, Syracuse, (c.474-450 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.88 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to left by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, pistrix in exergue, rev. **SURAKOSION* around, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair tied behind, four dolphins around, (S.928, cf.Boehringer 598 [same obverse die V295/R-], ACNAC Dewing 814 [similar dies], Pozzi 584 [similar dies]). Toned, small flan, otherwise very fine, rare.
