Maximianus, (A.D. 286-305 First Reign), billon antoninianus, Siscia mint, issued 285-286, (4.06 grams), obv. radiate bearded bust to right of Maximianus cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR VAL MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, rev. Emperor standing right holding sceptre with Hercules to left, leaning on club, sacrificing at altar, around CONSERVATOR AVGG, **G* to right, XXX.**L*I in exergue, (S.-, cf.RIC 380). Extremely fine with silvered surface, a variant not in RIC.
