Carinus, (A.D. 283-285), Rome mint, issued 283, billon antoninianus, (4.12 grams), obv. M AVR CARINVS NOB CAES, radiate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Carinus, rev. around PRINCIPI IVVENTVT, Carinus standing to left holding globe and sceptre, SKA in exergue, (cf.S.12300, RIC 158, C.103); Numerian, (A.D. 283-284), billon antoninianus, Cyzicus mint, issued 284 (3.57 grams), obv. radiate bust of Numerian to right cuirassed, around IMP C NVMERIANVS P F AVG, rev. around CLEMENTIA TEMP, Numerian receiving Victory from Jupiter or Carus, S between them, XXI in exergue, (S.12243, RIC 463, C.8). Both with fine silvering, second with pitting on the reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine or better. (2)
