Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 231-235, Rome mint, (3.186 grams), obv. laureate head to right, drapery on far shoulder, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. PROVIDE NTIA AVG, Providentia standing to left holding corn ears over modius and cornucopiae, (S.7922, RIC 250, C.501b). Extremely fine.
