Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE sestertius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 10-14, (25.44 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Augustus, around CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE, rev. altar of the cult of Roma and Augustus at Lugdunum, flanked by two columns, each surmounted by statue of Victory, in exergue ROM ET AVG, (S.1657, RIC 231a, C.236). Attractive patina, good metal, fine and rare.
