Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.262 grams), Ephesus mint, issued c.300 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, E bee **F* to left, plain under throne, **[A]LEXANDRPOU* to right, (cf.S.6730, Price 1877, BMC 1877, M.1017, SNG Cop. 894). Good very fine.
