Macedon, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.450 grams), Amphipolis IIB mint, issued c.342/1-329/8 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, bee in field below, omphalos to right, above **FILIP POU*. (cf.S.6680, cf.Le Rider 495-501, Pl.43, [similar types). In high relief, round attractive pale grey tone, cut across horse, otherwise good very fine and rare.
