AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF N.S.W in bronze (89mm) by Hardy Brothers, London 7 Sydney, rev. inscribed 'Hon Saul Samuel/ Minerals/ Class 522/1873'. In case (damaged) of issue, extremely fine.

Saul Samuel (1820- 1900) arrived with his family in 1830's and after leaving the family cattle farm became a gold miner. In 1854 he became the first Jewish MLC. Later he was a minister and Postmaster- General in 1872- 5. He was knighted in 1882 (See lot 2568 in sale 33) Ex Spink Noble Sale 41 (lot 453)
