Jahangir, (A.H. 1014-1037, A.D.1605-1628), round Gold mohur, (10.88 grams), struck in Agra mint, issued A.H. 1021 (A.D. 1612-3), Regnal Year 7, Khurdad month, Agra mint signature, obv. around dots within circles, 'Shah Nur-ad-din Jahangir, son of Akbar Padishah', all within flowered fields, rev. Regnal Year, hijri date, month and mint signature, all within flowered fields, (cf.BMC 299, cf.Punjab Museum Cat. 900, cf.KM. SAC 176.1). Good very fine, rare.

Ex. Spink & Son, London Sept. 13, 1978 by private treaty. $$ The type with distinctive flowered fields represents a superb example of the pinacle of Mogul coinage.
