Bengal Presidency, Farrukhabad mint, 45 san copper coinage, 1820-1824, single Trisuli pice, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H. 1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), with frozen regnal year 45, from dies prepared at Farrukhabad (8), good native copies (2), another crude native copy, Sagar mint issues 1826-1833, first issue, another second issue 1833, with trisul replaced on obverse by six pointed star, (Pr. 336, 337, 338, KM.65, 70-71). Very fine - nearly uncirculated, most with even brown colour, all as different die variants, some scarce.
Ex Wodak Collection and Colin E. Pitchfork Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 48 (lot 2156). The Farrakhubad mint closed in May 1824 and the 45 san trisul pice issues continued to be struck at the new Sagar mint.
