Bengal Presidency, Farrukhabad Mint Coinage, third period, 1831-1833, issued in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H. 1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), issued with frozen regnal year 45, silver quarter rupee, half rupee and rupee with privy marks (a crescent) for Calcutta, another fourth period 1833-1835, silver rupee without privy mark (crescent) issued for Calcutta mint, all with plain edges, (Pr.326, 329, 331, 333, KM.75-78). Very fine - extremely fine, first with attractive blue and gold tone. (4)

First coin from B.A. Seaby, January 1970, last coin from Glendining's Sept. 5, 1979 (lot 196 part) and Colin E. Pitchfork Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 48 (lot 2153). The last two periods (1831-1835), are confined to the issues with or without crescent privy mark, to Calcutta mint.
