Madras Presidency, 1812-1817, Second European Style Coinage, in the name of 'Alamgir II (A.H.1167-1173, A.D. 1754-1759), open lotus type, silver rupee, half rupee, quarter rupee, eighth rupee, impressed with the mint name Arkat, type as mohur with frozen date, A.H.1172, Regnal Year 6, edge with centre graining to left, Eighth rupee edge grained to right, (Pr. 251, 253, 255, 257, KM. 402, 408, 409, 410).
