Constantius II, (A.D. 337- 361), gold solidus, issued 347-350, Antioch mint, (4.552 grams), obv. around FL IVL CONSTAN TIVS PERP AUG, pearl diademed draped and cuirassed bust to right, rev. around GLORIA REI PVBLICAE, VOT XX MULT XXX in shield, Roma and Constantinople enthroned facing, holding shield, in exergue SMANS, (S.3988; RIC 81, C.108 [R2]). Nearly extremely fine and rare.
