Description

Hosie, Bourke Street, Melbourne checks, for 6d, 9d (illustrated), 1/- (illustrated), 1/3 and 1/6. These are later productions by Stokes & Martin utilising different dies to those described by Andrews and Heyde, (Heyde: Related 45/2, 45/3, 45/4, 45/5, 45/6 all noted as R5 the shilling as not seen). The shilling in silvered bronze, others in copper, mostly extremely fine and very rare. (5)
