Group of Eight: Distinguished Flying Cross (GVIR); 1939-45 Star; Aircrew Europe Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. 1944 engraved on DFC. 403596 L.McIntosh impressed on sixth, seventh and eighth medals, remaining medals unnamed. Very fine and a rare group to an Australian spitfire pilot.

L.G.: 07Apr1944 C.G.: 13Apr1944 'Flight Lieutenant McIntosh has proved to be an excellent flight commander and tenacious fighter. He is a splendid leader and by his keenness ans skill has contributed materially to the successes achieved by his squadron. In February 1944, while leading a section of two aircraft over Anzio this Officer's aircraft was attacked by sixteen Messerschmitt 109s. In the ensuing engagement he destroyed one of the enemy bringing his total victories to four enemy aircraft destroyed'. Together with log book April 1941 - March 1943, newspaper clippings, photographs, RAAF Officer's Certificate of Service, copy of Citation.
