Family Group: Legion of Honour (in bronze), 1840, H.Lewis S&M. Impressed. Group of Three: South Africa - bar 1879; Queen's South Africa Medal - four bars Cape Colony, Relief of Ladysmith, Wittebergen; Belfast; King's South Africa Medal - two bars South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902. First engraved as a re-named medal 7141 Cpl. J.A.Lewis L.H., second medal impressed 8 Sjt. J.A.Lewis Imp. L.I. Third impressed as a renamed medal Sg. Mr. J.A.Lewis, 2nd B.H. Very fine.
H.Lewis medal in wooden box with torn original ribbon (one of only twenty awarded), J.A.Lewis group with Victoria South African veteran's enamelled and gilt medalet by A.H.W(ittenbach) & Co. (23mm). With research. J.A.Lewis never claimed entitled Zulu wars (1879) South Africa Medal.
