Germany, Osnabruck, bishopric ecclesiastical issue, Gerhard II von Oldenburg - Wildeshusen (1192-1216), silver denier, c.1200, obv. Gerhard facing with bishop mitre, rev. gate to city, (Bonhoff 1672, Kestner - Hannover Collection 2721 [p.334-5]). Attractive grey tone, good very fine and rare.
