Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), uncertain gold octadrachm or mnaeion, (27.82 grams), Alexandria mint, issued 262 B.C. (Svoronos' suggested date), in name of Arsinoe II, obv. veiled head of Arsinoe II to right, wearing stephane, sceptre behind head visible above behind I, dotted border, rev. double cornucopiae, bound with fillet, dotted border, around ARSINOHS and to left FILADELFOU, (S.7768, Sv. 471, cf.Hazzard 1036-7, cf.SNG Cop.134). Well centred, nearly extremely fine/extremely fine.
