Henry I, (1100-1135), silver cut penny to make as a halfpenny, type X, Cambridge, London or Southwark mint, obv. small facing bust, [...]NRICVS R[..], rev. cross fleury, + ALGA[R]..:, (S.1271, N.866). Very fine and very rare.
Ex Spink & Son, Numismatic Circular, April 2001 (373). Algar was known as a moneyer at Cambridge for types V and VI but is unknown for type X for this moneyer and also known at London and Southwark.
