Group of Four: Military Medal (GVR); 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 3531 Sjt F.T. Watson 50/Aust Inf on first medal, 3531 Pte F.T. Watson 10/Bn A.I.F.on second medal, 3531 Sgt F.T. Watson 10 Bn A.I.F. on third and fourth medals. All medals impressed. Very fine.

L.G.: 26May1917 C.G.: 11 Oct 1917 'At Noreuil on 2nd April 1917 this N.C.O. rendered valuable service in filling the gap between the right of the line and the next Battalion. He repelled three counter attacks by the enemy. He also prevented the enemy from getting ammunition to a hostile Machine Gun which eventually had to stop firing. On the night of 2/3rd he pushed out and linked up with the right Battalion. Awarded MM 19Apr1917. With a photocopy of the citation and a letter from the Central Army Records Office, Melbourne, detailing Watson's full service record which shows that he was wounded twice in action.
