Macedon, kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.41 grams), Ecbatana mint, issued 323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **D* to left, I **W* under throne, to left **FILIPPOU, below **[B]ASILEWS, (cf.S.6749, Price P221, BMC P221, Akcakale Hoard 63, [M.P134]). Has been plugged, uneven edge, otherwise nearly very fine.
