Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IX Soter and Cleopatra III, (116-106 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Alexandria mint, struck year 5 = 113-112 B.C., (13.16 grams), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left LE, to right **PA*, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU**, (S.7921, Sv.1666, SNG Cop.350, BMC 16). Dark tone with hoard patina, flaw in reverse field, otherwise good very fine and very scarce.
